About Me
I’m Jacob — a sales engineer in the making, currently in the middle of the job search this blog quietly documents.
I spent nearly a decade in customer-facing sales and support — retail, automotive, education, tech — and got very good at the part where you sit across from a customer, figure out what they actually need, and help them make a decision they feel good about. At Best Buy, Living Spaces, and Carvana I learned that the skill isn’t really about the product; it’s about the person.
In early 2026 I finished a software engineering bootcamp (99% average), built a full-stack e-commerce application, and got enough Python, Django, REST APIs, and SQL under my belt to have an actual conversation about how the software works — not just around it. That’s the combination I’m trying to put to use: someone who can earn trust at the table and understand what’s happening under the hood.
I’m looking for a Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or Technical Customer Success role, remote or Phoenix-area. If that sounds like your team, get in touch.
In the meantime I’m building things — like BriefAI, a pre-call research tool that connects Gmail, Calendar, and the Anthropic API — and writing about it here.
